Sample descriptions:

The following is a brief sample description for samples without previously published descriptions.

OMNG: Omenica Gneiss, cobble collected from the west side of the river just below the Revelstoke Dam by David Nelles from the University of Victoria. It is sourced from the Omineca Crystalline Belt, a high-temperature and -pressure zone of deformation dated to between 100 and 63 Ma (Sevigny et al., 1990).

ACG: Acasta Gneiss, sample collected in the Northwest Territories. Sample collected from an unknown location by Duncan Mackay.

UBC-K. Russell samples: a series of xenoliths from locations in BC, all associated with recent (Tertiary) volcanism. The xenoliths are primarily middle-crust, though geobarometry has not been done. There are no published geochemical analyses of these units.

All numbered tills: These are powdered samples of till matrix provided by the BC geological survey. The samples are from the interior of BC, and mostly erode Phanerozoic crust. Analyses of similar units, though not the same units, were compiled by Canil and Lacourse (2011).

BJXXXX samples: A variety of igneous rocks from Vancouver Island. Sample BJ1601 is from the Sicker Group, which is are Devonian altered tuffs, sub-marine and terrestrial volcanics, and some sandstones. BJ1602 to BJ1604 are all from the Bonanza Group, which is a Jurassic aged volcanic arc exposed on Vancouver Island. The samples are andesitic to basaltic in composition, though to our knowledge no other geochemical characterization has been done on these particular outcrop locations.
